Theoretical analysis on the fabrication process of a microlens using the excimer laser chemical vapor deposition (EL-CVD) technique has been done in this paper. According to the numerical results and the comparison with circular are that is necessary for a plane-convex lens, the EL-CVD technique shows a good performance for fabricating perfect microlenses.
