Photocurrent Collection in Porous Semiconductor Structures
Artificial porous semiconductor structures are proposed as photodetectors with flat spectral response. Photocurrent quantum yields are calculated according to a simple model where carrier photogeneration is completely uncoupled from carrier collection. Results are used in the evaluation of a practical structure based on porous microcrystalline silicon thin films.
