Preparation of lead sulphide films from an aqueous acidic medium has been carried out using thiosulphate as a sulphur-ion releasing source. The films are polycrystalline and very adherent to the substrate. Optical absorption and IR studies were carried out, and the electrical resistivity is of the order of 10(5)-10(6) OMEGA cm.
