Cationic conductivity and structural studies in the Pb8K2-xNax(PO4)(6) system
In order to obtain information about the structure of Pb8K2-xNax(PO4)(6) system crystallizing in the anianic-deficient apatite structure, powder X-ray diffraction patterns and infrared absorption spectra have been studied. Mixing sodium and potassium in the structure increases the ionic conductivity as compared to the pure sodium or potassium phase. Correlations between electrical and structural properties are established.
