A citric acid method to prepare LiMn2O4 for lithium-ion batteries
A new simplified technique (citric acid method) has been adopted to synthesize LiMn2O4, and the influence of synthesis conditions on the electrochemical properties of the products has also been studied. The Li/Mn ratio and synthesis temperature are the key factors to affect the electrochemical characteristics of the resultant products. The LiMn2O4 synthesized with the optimum synthesis conditions has a perfect spinel structure and shows excellent performance.
