Pure electrolytic iron samples were implanted with yttrium using ion implantation technique. Compositions and structures of pure iron samples before and after yttrium implantations were investigated to determine the effect of ionic implantation. The aim of this paper is to show the correlation between composition and structural studies in order to understand the role of the implanted yttrium depth distribution before the elaboration of anti-corrosion coatings.
