Electrosurface transfer of WO3 into CaWO4 ceramics
A new transport phenomenon - stimulated by electric field drawing-in of a solid oxide into the inner surface of an oxide ceramic support - has been studied on the example of the WO3 (flow phase)/CaWO4 (support ceramic) system. This phenomenon is a property, which is inherent in the CaWO4, ceramic whatever its prehistory. The transfer rate has been analyzed as a function of time, temperature, ceramics porosity, and the charge passed. The atomic ratio W/Ca approximate to 2 for the initial CaWO4, support and the formed (CaWO4/WO3)-composite was found by ESCA. The possible models of the phenomenon have been discussed.
