YBa2Cu3O7 corrosion processes via acid/base and redox mechanisms
Oxocuprate superconductors may undergo corrosion reactions via redox or acid base type topotactic processes. Model studies with water and molecular hydrogen demonstrate that these reactions may be competitive depending upon the reaction conditions.
