The Metal-Liquid Electrolyte Interface
A brief review of the current state of knowledge about the structure of the interface between a metal and a liquid electrolyte solution is presented. Some of the problems of interpretation are emphasized, such as the charge distribution on adsorbed species and, in the case of solid metals, the significance of the direct measurement of surface stress.
