Thermistor Effect and Current-Induced Transition in Copper-Tetracyanoquinodimethane Composites
We present a study of thermistor effect and current induced transition in compacted mixed powders of copper and tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ). We confirm first, a previous estimate of the yield of charge transfer reaction between the components. Then, thermistance (current-voltage) characteristics of these composites are investigated in connection with the degree of ionicity of TCNQ as deduced from infrared absorption spectroscopy.
