Catalytic Property of the Hollandite-Type 1-D Ion-Conductors - Selective Reduction of NOx

Some hollandites showed the selective reduction of NOx with hydrocarbons. KxGaxTi8-xO16 gave the NO conversion > 60% at 973 K in NO + C3H6 + O-2 gas mixture. Its related materials like KxGa16+xTi16-xO56 were not so active. Their reactivities can be discussed in the correlation diagram of NO and C3H6 conversion rates.
