Impact of activation temperature and work time of gamma-Al2O3 catalysts on their activity in conversion of methyl and isobutyl alcohols into ethers
Results of studies on the impact of activation temperature of aluminium catalyst (gamma-Al2O3) on activity and selectivity of the catalyst in reaction of methyl and isobutyl alcohols conversion into ethers are presented. Catalyst activated at 673 K showed lowest activity. Above 723 K any significant change in the yield of reaction was not stated. Catalytic properties of the gamma-Al2O3 catalyst were stable for 60-hour period of its work.
