Fluidization of Ferromagnetic Particles in a Magnetic-Field .1. The Effect of Field Line Orientation on Bed Stability
An investigation of the effect of the field line orientation on the behaviour of gas fluidized beds has been carried out, using different, noncohesive ferromagnetic powders in the absence of a magnetic field. The field line orientation was varied from parallel to transverse with respect to the fluidizing Bow. The results obtained show that stabilized beds can be created under different orientation of homogeneous magnetic fields.
