The anionic polymerization of t-butyl acrylate was achieved by using ethyl vinyl ether functionalized carbanionic initiator. In this way, poly(t-butyl acrylate) macromer with vinyl ether functionality was obtained. The macromer structure was characterized with the aid of H-1 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography.
