The wired engineer: The Internet and the designer
The Internet has opened up new possibilities for the design process. E-mail, websites, VRML, FTP, rapid prototyping, multimedia, and GroupWare are among the tools now available to the designer. Properly used, they enhance communication and can result in elimination of geographical constraints in the product development process, reduced time for product development, and improved quality.
