Production of 2,2 '-methylene-bis(4,6-dinonylphenol) by the extraction method
2,2'-Methyl-bis(4,6-dinonylphenol) has been produced for the first time by the extraction method in the presence of a cationite. Methods of H-1 NMR and IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetry have established the formation of associates by the hydrogen bonds between 2,4-dinonylphenol and methylene glycol of an aqueous formaldehyde solution. The structure of the bisphenol obtained has been determined.
