Wacker oxidation of olefins in the presence of palladium complexes based on functionalized polyethylene oxides and block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide
A study has been made of the Wacker oxidation of 1-dodecene by air oxygen in aqueous-organic media in the presence of macromolecular palladium complexes based on iminodipropionitrile-functionalized ethylene oxide and block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. Copper dichloride or benzoquinone was used as the cocatalyst. It was established that the reaction proceeds selectively with high 2-dodecanone yields.
