Investigation of the adsorption of acid components of crude oil on oil-containing rock
The reaction of petroleum acids and phenols with sandy and argillaceous rock has been studied by a developed dynamic adsorption procedure. It has been shown that the composition of the rock has an influence both on limiting adsorption and on the type of isotherms, which are most complex for the process of adsorption of the components on clay. It has been established that the nature of the solvent has a considerable influence on the process of adsorption on clay and has no influence in the case of sandstone. An assessment is given of the contribution of polar groups to the limiting adsorption of acids and phenols.
