A study has been made of the group-structural composition of ketones in West Siberian crude oils, The relationship between the composition and structure of the ketones and the type of hydrocarbons in the crude oils has been established. It has been shown that ketones of aliphatic structure predominate in methane-naphthenic crude oils, while ketones with cyclane and aromatic substituents predominate in naphthenic crude oils.
