PRODUCTION OF N-1-(N-PYRROLIDONYL)-ETHYLACETAMIDE BY THE REACTION OF ACETAMIDE WITH N-VINYLPYRROLIDONE
N-1-(N-Pyrrolidonyl)-ethyhcetamide has been synthesized by the addition of acetamide to N-vinylpyrrolidone. The influence of temperature and time on the addition reaction has been studied. The optimum conditions for producing N-1-(N-pyrrolidonyl)-ethylacetamide have been selected: temperature 80 degrees C, reaction time 3 hr. The N-1-(N-pyrrolidonyl)-ethylacetamide yield reaches 90.6 mol.% of the N-vinylpyrrolidone used.
