Reviewed are technical properties of two types of frequency adjustable electric drives with asynchronous electric motors: controlled by voltage and frequency according to U/f=const law and by frequency-current regulation. Presented are functional lay-outs of these options. Recommendations on application of concrete electric drive option for oil producing equipment are proposed.
