An attempt is made to collect all more or less significant dates from the history of wells＇ drilling in Russia (till 1920) and USSR, because untill now achievements of native scientists, engineers and technicians have not yet recieved well-deserved acknowledgement in the world. Presented are a number of most important dates from from the native drilling history, the target is made to show readers, how and which facts should be collected.
