Reviewed is the issue of creating a new mechanical inclinometer (IPK LI TT detector) for the control of directional drilling parameters by drilling crew personnel. Provided are brief technical characteristics of indicator, its construction peculiarities and the results of its operation during directional well drilling in oil fields of Tatneft JSC. Typical problems in control of directional drilling parameters and possible methods of its efficiency improvement are considered.
