Presented is an empirical substantiation of a viewpoint, that drilling hazards, relating to borehole wall collapse, are very often could be connected with poor drilling mud cuttings lifting capacity. A decision is made to pump heavy mud slugs to provide for normal drilling conditions. It is noted, that new technology of well cleaning from cuttings and cavings has been videly used in drilling practices at Grozniy oil bearing region.
