Reviewed are causes of pumps＇ plugging by sand and mechanical impurities. Presented are causes of tubing leakage, auxiliary equipment and pump components failures, sucker rod breakage. Forecast for ineffective workovers for 1999 is made. Recommendations on reduction of ineffective workovers number are given.
