Hydrogen-Bonded Ribbon Structure in 2-Phenyl-3-Hydroxyphenalenone
The title compound crystallized in the triclinic space group . The crystal structure contains intermolecular hydrogen-bonded ribbon structure, though 2-position of the phenalenyl ring is substituted by a bulky phenyl group. The O ... O distances of hydrogen-bonds are 2.734(3) and 2.718(3) Angstrom. The phenyl ring rotates by 51.52 and 54.69 degrees toward the phenalenyl ring.
