The surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) of a spiroxazine and spiropyran photochromes in silver colloids is presented. A qualitative description of the structure and orientation of adsorbed species is given. This work is a preliminary step in order to study photochromic molecules in polymer matrices using SERS.
