Two new phases with I-c = 14.70 Angstrom. and 12.55 Angstrom were obtained by interaction of potassium with stage 1 and 2 CuCl2-GICs at 200 degrees C. The following sequences of layers are respectively : KCuCl2KCuCl2 and K/CuClKCuCl.
