Structural-Analysis of New Crystal Phase for Calcium-Phosphate in Alpha(L)(--)Alpha" Phase-Transition
A phase transition in alpha-Ca-3(PO4)(2) at 212 degrees C is evident from DTA studies. High temperature X-ray diffraction studies indicate that the room temperature monoclinic alpha-Ca-3(PO4)(2) becomes orthorhombic above 212 degrees C. The higher symmetry above 212 degrees C is also indicated by Raman studies.
