A Revision of the Formula Fe-2(Seo3)(3)Center-Dot-6H(2)O to Fe-2(Seo3)(3)Center-Dot-3H(2)O
The iron(III)-selenite with the formula given as Fe-2(SeO3)(3) . 6H(2)O was reinvestigated by means of synthesis, chemical analysis, IR spectroscopy, powder and single crystal X-ray data, and thermogravimetric analysis. Our results show that the formula Fe-2(SeO3)(3) . 6H(2)O should be Fe-2(SeO3)(3) . 3H(2)O.
