The Preparation and Characterization of Low-Dimensional Banbs3-Delta
The compound BaNbS3-delta was prepared from BaCO3 and NbO2 by CS2/N-2 sulfurization. Stoichiometric BaNbS3 is metallic from room temperature to 30K. The sulfur deficient phase BaNbS3-delta shows a metal-to-semiconductor and/or structural phase transition at 130K.
