Magnetic properties of an individual Fe-Cu-B nanoparticle
Superparamagnetic elongated Fe-Cu-B alloys were prepared in aqueous solution via sodium borohydride reduction of copper and iron dodecyl sulfate, Cu(DS)(2) and Fe(DS)(2). The magnetization reversal of an individual Fe-Cu-B nanoparticle can be described by uniform rotation of magnetization and by thermal activation over a single-energy barrier as originally proposed by Neel and Brown.
