Comparison of Energy-Distributions Calculated for Active Carbons from Benzene Gas-Solid and Liquid-Solid Adsorption Data
Adsorption isotherms of benzene from both gas phase and dilute aqueous solutions have been used to calculate the energy distribution functions for six commercial active carbons. The energetic heterogeneity of these microporous carbons was discussed in relation to their pore-size distributions evaluated from nitrogen adsorption isotherms.
