The stretch blow moulding process is used to produce high-quality bottles of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with outstanding mechanical, optical and barrier properties, combined with low weight. The ongoing substitution of metal and glass packagings by stretch blow moulded PET bottles has led to an annual growth rate of nearly 16% over the last few years, and even higher growth is expected in the coming years.
