Vibration welding of glass-fabric-reinforced polyamide plastics.
Motor components made of thermoplastics can be firmly joined together by means of vibration welding The guide figure for the weld seam strength obtainable with glass-fabric-reinforced thermoplastics is considered to be 70 to 80% of the tensile strength of the base plastic. Weld strength can be increased by optimizing the glass fibre content and the welding conditions [1, 2].
