Mass production of injection moulded natural-fibre-reinforced automotive parts is conceivable, especially since the products produced in exploratory experiments did not require any major modifications to process and mould technology. Despite reduced weight and costs, the parts still have properties lying within the specifications set for conventional reinforced parts.
