A possible way of solid polymer production waste treatment is suggested, namely by converting it into materials for the environmental protection against noise and vibrations. Rubber and textiles wastes (i.e. from the tyres and hoses production) have been upgraded in this way. These newly developed materials＇ acoustic qualities are markedly better than those of today＇s building and structural materials. Practical applications possibilities are suggested. Other relevant pre-requirements (as to conductivity etc.) are mentioned.
