Estimation of bubble behavior and particle flow pattern in large scale rectangular fluidized bed
To predict the behavior of bubbles and particles in a large scale fluidized bed with rectangular cross section, a simulation model was developed based on a previous model which has proved to be effective for simulating the spatial distribution of bubbles and the particle circulation in cylindrical beds. The comparison between observed and calculated results of bubble size and spatial distribution of bubbles in square cross section beds demonstrates the validity of this model.
