Aq. solns. of molasses with a sucrose concn. of 1 mol/L were heated in an autoclave at 200 degrees C and under autogenous pressure of 10 bar for 12 h. The obtained carbonizates were activated with KOH using 1:1 and 1:2 mass ratio of carbon material to KOH under N-2 atm. at 750 degrees C. Their structural parameters and CO2 adsorption isotherms were detd.
