Effect of the filtration-catalytic system on the emission parameters of low-power boilers fired with wood pellets
A solid fuel boiler with a nominal heating power of 15 kW was equipped with a filtration-catalytic system and fired with wood pellets. The emissions of CO, NOx and particulate matter (PM) were detd. and compared with those from the pellet combustion in the boiler without the filtration-catalytic system. The installation of the system resulted in the reduction of the emitted toxic substances by approx. 94, 88 and 59% for CO, NOx and PM, resp.
