Feasibility of Using Vegetable Manufacturing Wastes in a Lubricant Additive for Drilling Fluids
The present work was devoted to the study and search for alternative renewable sources of feedstock for production of fatty-acid esters to further their application as lubricant additives for drilling fluids and to optimize the cost value of the developed products. Fatty-acid esters were prepared from oleic acid and polyatomic alcohols and by transesterification of fatty-acid methyl esters prepared from renewable plant production wastes with polyatomic alcohols. The optimal synthetic conditions were chosen. The physicochemical properties of the obtained products were analyzed. Directions for further research were defined.
