Two fermentation mass mixing systems by using a hybrid pump and a std. hydraulic pump were tested. The environmental impact assessment of processes related to the prodn. and use of biogas as an energy carrier was carried out by using the life cycle assessment technique. The lower neg. impact on the greenhouse effect of the biogas plant equipped with the hybrid pump than with the hydraulic pump was showed.
