Impedance Measurements of a Platinum Cylindrical Porous-Electrode Replicated from Anodic Porous Alumina
Impedance measurements were performed far a platinum cylindrical porous electrode which was fabricated from anodic porous alumina by the replication method. The well-defined structure of the electrode made possible a direct comparison between experimental and theoretical impedance without assumptions in electrode structure. The experimental impedance was reproduced satisfactorily using the transmission Line model with the cylindrical pore parameters (i.e., the diameter; depth, and density) in the electrode. The results suggest that the electrode engaged here could provide a simple, tractable model for studying electrochemical impedance behavior of porous electrodes.
