Study of Precipitate-Like Defects in CdTe Crystals
Reflection x-ray topography and scanning electron microscopy in the panchromatic cathodoluminescence mode have been used to investigate precipitate-like defects in CdTe crystals. It has been found that they have dimensions ranging from about 10 to 50 mu m and are either triangular or hexagonal shaped. Associated with the defects there are clusters of dislocations punched out in [110] directions, forming starlike patterns.
