The air flow (1-3)-10(-8) m(3)/s was bubbled through a layer of water in a lab. stand equipped with nozzles (diam. of 1-3 mm). The diams. of the bubbles, their velocities and trajectories were detd. by using a video camera coupled with a computer. The exptl. results were compared with the calcd. values obtained from the correlations available in the literature. The best correlation with the smallest differences between calcd. and exptL values of parameters were selected.
