Electrochemical and in-Situ Spectroelectrochemical Study on Polypyrrole Disulfide Composite Electrode
Potential cycling of a polypyrrole-coated platinum electrode for several cycles between -1 and 0.5 V vs. Ag/AgCl in 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, DMcT, solution induced a significant modification of the cyclic voltammogram. This modified cyclic voltammogram is still observed when the electrode is cycled in an electrolyte containing no added DMcT suggesting that a new composite electrode material was being formed.
