Cool thermal discharge with time-velocity variation of flowing air in situ contact on water surface
A feasible device of cooling system to produce chilled air during on-peak power-consumption hours by the processes of ice melting has been developed. The simulation of estimating the thickness of ice melted and temperature distribution in the water region with convective transfer by controlling air velocity for specified discharging fluxes on the free water surface has been devised. Three examples with different fluxes of cool thermal-discharges and a case of specified air temperature varied with time have been simulated, and the results of the thickness of the melted ice layers and cool thermal-discharges have been discussed.
