A typical buffer material, tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (Tris) was substituted into the octacalcium phosphate (OCP) unit lattice similar to Na. When Tris substituted into OCP, the main OCP peak in the XRD pattern shifted toward low angles, and OCP crystals with a high aspect ratio were obtained. The obtained material showed a gel-like property.
