Assessment of the thermal extent of outlet streams from industrial chimneys in the context of flight restrictions in their vicinity
Numerical simulation of temp. distributions in outlet streams from chimneys of turbines was carried out on the example of a gas compressor station in Ciechanow equipped with 3 turbo compressors with a capacity of 25 MW each. The 3-D numerical model was developed by using the corm software for computational fluid dynamics. The anal. were carried out for various weather conditions (winter, summer) and for different wind speeds (0, 5 and 10 m/s) measured at the height of the chimney outlet. The objects flying 100 and 200 m above the chimney outlet were exposed to contact with exhaust gases at 80 and 40 degrees C, resp.
