Chemical-Reactivity of Singlet-Sigma-Oxygen (B(1)Sigma(+)(G)) in Solution
Spectroscopic data are presented to indicate that, in solution, chemical reactions of singlet sigma oxygen,O-2(b(1) Sigma(g)(+)), do not compete effectively with the physical deactivation channels that produce O-2(a(1) Delta(g)).
